Work Accident Compensation Cases in New York

New York City, undoubtedly one of the most important cities in the United States and in the world, has a significant number of active employees to this day. Not surprisingly, accidents on the job are very common. Following are some cases that we have managed recently:

Compensation for work injury: On December 16, while operating a defective machine, a meat industry employee cut off part of his right middle finger while cutting meat. He reported the incident to his manager, but he was asked to lie at the hospital, saying that he was injured at home. Later, he didn’t receive any support from his employer.

Another similar case occurred in September: While lifting boxes of merchandise, a Shipping and Delivery employee injured a disc in his back while straining excessively.

Compensation for repetitive motion injury: On November 13, after moving several 750-lb barrels of honey, an employee developed a hernia in the groin. He reported his accident and was sent to the doctor, where he found out that he required surgery.

Compensation for work accident: On December 11, while climbing a ladder with a bucket of paint, a painter tripped, falling four feet and injuring his back, neck, and head. He reported the accident to his employer, but he was not granted any medical treatment.
